Job Description
Tasks/responsibilities:
- Provide intellectual inputs to develop research concepts and projects.
- Manage projects: designing, planning, budgeting, and implementation.
- Data collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Fundraise by developing proposals, working plans, and budgets.
- Coordinate among clients/donors and research teams.
- Mentor and motivate staff members; actively involved in policy advocacy and client outreach.
Qualifications and skills:
- A Master’s qualification in peace and conflict studies or political science or in any other social sciences. A PhD in these areas would be advantageous.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant professional work experience.
- Team and project management experience.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English and either Sinhala or Tamil. (Trilingual skills will be an added advantage)
- Links and networks with local and international organizations for partnerships and collaborations.
- Energetic, creative, innovative, and passionate about social cohesion and reconciliation.
The position is full-time. Selected candidates will have a conducive, collegial work environment. An attractive remunerative package will be offered.
