Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of banking-related matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and banking forms.
- Ensure compliance with all banking laws and regulations.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external legal counsel on complex legal issues and litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on new banking laws and regulations.
- Assist in internal audits and regulatory inspections.
- Handle customer disputes and represent the bank in legal proceedings when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent.
- Admission to the Bar (Attorney-at-Law) is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience in the banking sector.
- In-depth knowledge of banking laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
