Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Java Software Developer at Formix located in Colombo. Responsibilities include developing high-quality software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and implementing scalable applications, requirements analysis, software development, testing, mentoring junior developers, and improving development processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Java software development
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (such as Angular, React) is a plus
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools is a plus
