We are looking for a dynamic Junior Procurement Executive to support our procurement operations and contribute to our clients continued success.

Job Title: Junior Procurement Executive

Location: Peliyagoda

Industry: Tea

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
• Place purchase orders in line with production schedules and inventory requirements.
• Work towards achieving cost savings through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts.
• Collaborate with departments such as production, quality control, and finance.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Food & Beverages Purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with tea packing materials and procurement process is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
