Job Description
Akbar Brothers Group, a leading exporter of premium Ceylon Tea from Sri Lanka, is seeking a Factory Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing and executing maintenance work to avoid production delays.
- Allocating tasks to technical staff and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Planning and executing preventive maintenance tasks.
- Establishing and auditing maintenance policies and procedures.
- Conducting frequent condition checks on machinery and equipment.
- Managing spare parts procurement and maintenance inventory.
- Training staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Preparing reports for improvements and modifications.
- Innovating and automating processes and machinery.
- Managing the maintenance department budget.
- Enforcing the “Right First Time” (RFT) process.
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
- 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer/Manager.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety guidelines.
- Advanced knowledge of PLC systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
