Job Overview: The Purchasing Executive plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant by managing all aspects of procurement. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering excellence.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in business administration or related field
- Proven procurement experience in the food and beverage industry
- Strong negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry practices
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and terms
- Coordinate with departments for procurement needs
- Maintain accurate purchase records and inventory levels
- Monitor market trends for cost savings
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Resolve issues with orders and invoices
- Develop strong supplier relationships
