Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic individual to take reign of our technical & sales position.
Primary responsibilities and duties:
- To assess needs of corporate clientele & advice on appropriate covers / products.
- Maintain & enhance the portfolio of the company by assisting in its sales process.
- Preparation of broking slips / Request for quotation Slips.
- Coordinate with Insurance Companies for quotations & negotiations by the agreed deadlines.
- Prepare comparison reports.
- Ensure client instructions are received for insurance placement in time.
- Handling post placement procedures including client queries.
- Maintain proper and quality data in the agreed organized formats.
Required qualifications and work experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar job role in an insurance company or insurance broker company.
- Good knowledge of technical (underwriting) & claims in both Motor & Non-Motor classes.
- Ability to do sales independently as well as within a team.
- Excellent Communication skills both in English & Sinhala.
- Team player with a pleasant personality.
- Ability to develop and maintain a pleasant rapport with insurers and clients.
- Willingness to develop interpersonal skills and career as a professional Insurance Broker.
- Sound knowledge in MS Office packages including Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word.
- Part / Full qualification of any Insurance-related diploma / degree would be an added advantage.
