Job Description
Under the guidance of the Advocacy Lead, the Advocacy Coordinator directs and coordinates advocacy programs at World Vision Lanka National Office. Responsibilities include leading policy influencing efforts, collaborating with stakeholders, and overseeing advocacy plans.
Major Responsibilities:
- Identify advocacy needs and country dynamics for the Business plan.
- Guide staff in developing Advocacy plans.
- Represent WVL in Advocacy-related coalitions.
- Engage in Advocacy campaigns at national and sub-national levels.
- Conduct policy gap analysis and support budget development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of advocacy experience.
- Degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Law, or Public Policy.
- Masters qualification in a related field is advantageous.
- Experience in influencing stakeholders and civil society organizations.
- Computer literate with excellent command of English and local languages.
