Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports against Company budgets.
- Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements.
- Ensure month-end GL closure and completion of all the balance sheet GL reconciliations before the deadline.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc group financial reports.
- Providing analytical and management information as requested by management.
- Engagement in the IFRS 17/ SLFRS 17 implementation project of the Company.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Overseeing the company’s overall tax compliance process.
- Assisting in the daily operations of the Finance department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Economics from a recognized University and part qualification in CA/ CIMA/ ACCA.
- Strong technical knowledge on accounting standards.
- Highly analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial systems, software, and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fair understanding of the regulatory framework and guidelines.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in auditing or commercial sector.
- Strong Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience in IFRS 17/ SFLR 17 implementation projects in the Insurance Industry is a plus.
